The Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina provides a temporary home–away-from-home for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment from area medical facilities in Pitt County.
The Service League donates time, assists with fundraising and contributes meals and gifts to the children and families residing at the house.
The Greenville Ronald McDonald House opened its doors on Father’s Day in 1987. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House can sleep in a warm Select Comfort Sleep Number bed, take a shower in their private bathroom, do laundry, and prepare and eat meals in a spacious, cheerful kitchen.
Additionally, guests have access to a comfortable family room, a media/game room, a children’s playroom, a sunroom, a relaxing patio, and well-kept grounds. More importantly, families find the support of others who share the experience of having a very ill child. It is a supportive, welcoming environment in a spacious and comfortable two-story, 15,000 square foot facility.
