The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice provides a home away from home when hospice patients have pain or other symptoms that are hard to manage at home.  The eight-bed hospice house allows patients and families to be together as hospice staff work to make everyone comfortable.  Family and friends are always welcome.

Volunteers of The Service League of Greenville provide support for the Hospice House in a variety of ways.  Specially trained members assist with front office needs such as reception duties and assisting visitors, reading to patients, baking treats and bringing in meals for family and visitors at the Service League In-Patient Hospice on Wellness Drive.  We also provide long term administrative support for the Vidant Home Health and Hospice Office on WH Smith Boulevard as well as in-home visits for Vidant Home Health and Hospice patients.

Service League volunteers also serve as Ambassadors representing Vidant Home Health and Hospice at a variety of community events, making the community aware of topics related to end-of-life care.

  1. My Mom is currently being treated at home under another hospice company. I was wondering about placement in your facillty. We have only been told that a 5 day respite care was a possibility but a friend of mine told me about your services and she was so pleased with her experience during her Mom’s stay recently before her passing.

    1. Sorry for the late response as we are the non profit the Hospice is named for and not the facility itself. You can contact the Inpatient Hospice at 252-847-1230
