Our April General Meeting Covered A Lot Of Ground

Our April Service League of Greenville general meeting was one of those meetings that seems to be packed to bursting.  We covered a lot of ground in two hours.

We signed-up for future events and activities:

*

We took care of current business:

SLG Recording Secretary Sherry Pofahl and SLG President Annelle West as Past President Mary Lee Hobbie explains a points of order.

*

We learned of other needs in our community:

Mark Anthony, Board Chairman, NC chapter of ALS Association

*

We celebrated our accomplishments:

Charity Ball Chair Gwen Gordon and Laughinghouse Fund Chair Brenda Philips presenting check for the net proceeds of The Service League of Greenville’s 55th Annual Charity Ball

*

And, we enjoyed getting to know our current members — and honoring new members:

SLG 2nd VP Danette Pugh gets to know members Debbie Adams and Becky Brittle.  Meeting adjourned, members enjoy a Spring Coffee in honor of Provisional members from the last two years.

Taste Testing A Mardi Gras Menu

With every big event there are just some jobs that no one likes to do — Grab a mop anyone??

And then there are jobs that require tough decisions and steely determination to see them through — like the job of taste testing a Mardi Gras menu at Rock Springs for The Service League of Greenville’s 55th Annual Laughinghouse Fund Charity Ball.

Yeah, taste testing is a tough job and here is the group of ladies who managed to marshal their forces to get it done.

Doesn’t it look like they were really suffering through this “job”?
